The president and the Secretary General shall be appointed by the country hosting the Asian Sailing Championships.

One Vice President shall be provided by the country where the next Asian Sailing Championships will be hosted , and this Vice President may also act as the Secretary general during his term of office. The second Vice President shall be provided by the country that hosted the previous Asian Sailing Championships. The third Vice President shall be provided by the country hosting the succeeding Asian Sailing Championships.

 

The president shall preside over all the meetings of the Council and the Executive Sub-Committee. The President shall be the Chief Executive. A Vice President designated by the President shall exercise all the powers of the President in his absence.

The Secretary General of Vice President cum Secretary General where one has been appointed, shall assist the President in the working of the Secretariat and shall carry out routine business including the organization of meeting, correspondence, affiliation, deposits and withdrawal, collection of subscription and the keeping of accounts and records.


The President of the Secretary General, or Vice President cum Secretary General where one has appointed, shall employ the necessary staff from time to time for the efficient running of the Secretariat.

When there is a permanent Secretariat a budget for the purpose of hiring the necessary staff and maintaining the office premises , including managing the Federation’s website and other related activities would have to be proposed by the executive Committee in office and approved at the relevant Annual General Meeting.

All members of the Council shall be honorary.

The term of office of the above appointments shall be from 1st January of the year in which the Asian Sailing Championship is to be held extending up to the 31st December of the following year.
